BlueCheck Validation

The reason you can trust automation with the books.

BlueCheck is Zive's validation layer: every transaction, allocation, and report is checked against your fund documents, your accounting rules, and your firm's policies, before it posts, publishes, or reaches an LP.

What it checks

Your rules, not generic ones.

BlueCheck isn't a fixed checklist. At onboarding, your fund documents and firm policies become the rules it enforces, so validation reflects how your funds actually work.

Your fund terms

Fee structures, expense provisions, distribution terms, and LP-specific arrangements from your fund documents.

In practice: a distribution that doesn't reflect an LP's negotiated terms is held before notices go out, not discovered by that LP.

Accounting integrity

Balances, allocations, and capital accounts that must tie, continuously, not just at quarter-end.

In practice: a statement can't publish if it doesn't tie to the ledger. There's no version of "we'll true it up later."

Capital activity

Calls, distributions, and wires checked against commitments and instructions before capital moves.

In practice: a call notice can't go out for more than an LP's unfunded commitment. The platform won't produce one.

Your firm's policies

Approval thresholds, authorization chains, and operating procedures, the rules that usually live in someone's head.

In practice: an expense above threshold routes to the right approver automatically, even if the person who "always handled that" left last month.
Where it sits

Validation is built into the workflow, not a report you run after.

1

Work is prepared

Zive's agents assemble the workflow: the call, the close entry, the statement, the distribution.

2

BlueCheck validates

The output is checked against your terms, your books, and your policies. Anything non-conforming is held with the reason attached.

3

Your team approves

People review validated output with full context, one approval instead of hours of assembly and double-checking.

4

It releases, with lineage

Wires move, statements publish, entries post. Every step lands in the transaction lineage, time-stamped and traceable for your auditors.

Why deterministic

AI does the work. Rules decide what's right.

The problem with AI alone

AI is excellent at doing the work, reading documents, preparing entries, drafting reports. But "probably correct" isn't a standard your LPs, your auditors, or your fund's books can accept. An AI-only system still needs a human to check everything, which is the cost you were trying to remove.

Deterministic means the same answer every time. A BlueCheck rule either passes or it doesn't. No confidence scores, no "usually right." The check that ran in Q1 runs identically in Q4.
Explainable to your auditor. Every hold and every clearance traces to a specific rule and a specific source, a fund document, a policy, a balance. "The model decided" is not an audit answer. This is.
Which is why the automation is trustworthy. Because validation is deterministic, the agents can run fast and often. Speed without the gate is risk. Speed behind the gate is leverage.
